Websites that become the brand.

A studio for founders who would rather not look like everyone else.

Book a call

Every AI company has the same landing page.

Dark mesh gradient, glass cards, Inter, a little noise. The tools that made building fast made everything look identical, and the scarce thing now is a website that is only yours.

  1. Components built for your brand

Not picked off a shelf and recoloured. The object is drawn for one company, parameterised to your palette, and nobody else can buy the same one the following afternoon.

  2. For their eyes and their agents

The same page ships a surface a machine can read, so when somebody asks an assistant about you it answers from what you wrote — not from what it inferred off a screenshot.

  3. Stripe’s gradient. Linear’s aurora.

Each was one object rather than a design system, and each returned more brand equity than the rest of the identity combined. Both were built in-house, which is the point: nobody was selling them.

Built

Portfolio 01

A world built for one person. Side-scrolling and chaptered, with a score, a progress ledger and two complete modes — an illustrated journey and a minimal edition — either of which is a finished site on its own.

Open it. It is the shortest honest answer to whether any of this ships.

  3. Portfolio 01 — The process, walkedThe process, walked

Studio Template 01

A world built for a practice. Four pages for an architecture studio, its own art direction, passing its own grammar and its own accessibility budget — Astro, Tailwind, TypeScript strict, Playwright and axe.

A private repository with nothing deployed, so these are stills rather than a link.

Behind the scenes

One project is not the whole of it. 34 components in the Classical drop and 9 objects on the shelf — all of it free, MIT, and drawn rather than assembled. Five of them, live —

  1. Component

    icarus

Wings that open with the scroll, and come apart at the top of it.

  2. Object

    achlys

A fogged pane over a photograph. Wipe it; it mists over again.

  3. Component

    pinax

A votive panel that refuses to be half-filled.

  4. Component

    entasis

A colonnade that swells under the pointer, as masons drew it.

Before you write.

What does it cost?

A landing page starts at £6k. It is a fixed price agreed before anything begins, quoted from what the site has to do rather than from an hourly rate, and it does not move once we have agreed it. If you need the product built as well, that is scoped separately — it is not one size.

How long does it take?

One to two weeks for a landing page, from the brief being settled. The reason it is that rather than a month is that the frame — layout, type scale, motion, performance, the accessibility path — is the same every time and is already built. What takes the time is the part of your site nobody else will have.

What do you build, and what do I?

I build the whole landing page, and the product too if you need it: design and front-end both, since handing a design to somebody else to implement is where most of a site’s quality goes. You bring the words, the content, the brand decisions already made, and anything that has to talk to your own systems.

What if the first direction is wrong?

You see the direction before anything is built, as stills, and we agree it or change it there — which is the cheapest place to change it. Two rounds of revisions are included after that. If the direction round produces nothing you want, we stop and you pay for that stage only.

How does it work, and what do I end up with?

Four steps and no ceremony. A call, then a written brief I send you to correct; direction as stills; the build, with something to look at every few days rather than a reveal at the end; then handover. You end up with the repository, deployed and running on your own hosting, in plain TypeScript and CSS with no install, no runtime and no account — plus a handover document covering what each part does, what breaks and how to change it. Nothing is licensed back to me and nothing stops working if I disappear.

Then write.

Fifteen minutes is usually faster than a paragraph. Pick a time and I will tell you straight away whether I am the right person.
